What a great idea!

English Church Bell Change Ringing is difficult to record, and far more so to perform (not to mention actually dangerous). The seemingly arcane sequences are something Albert Einstein (and maybe J.S. Bach) can make easy sense of, but the rolling tintinnabulations of the peals is something you won't forget.

By transferring the change-ringing from massive bronze church bells to portable hand bells (that beloved but too often treacly sweet mainstay of Lutheran churches everywhere), this gathering of change-ringers brings the intricacy and soaring sequences of change ringing out of the bell tower and into the parlor.

Highly recommended!
